The reason why I do what I do as a Student Success Strategist is to fulfill student’s needs. I have become who I needed to see, hear, and read about when I was in high school and college. I wrote my book as a way to give practical advice to my younger self.

So what do students need?

Students need to see someone who looks like them, who has done most of the things they seek to do.

We only have 4 years in high school, and 4 to 5 years in college. We need to make the most use of that time by maximizing our resources.

Each year is important but no matter what, there are only 4 E’s of Options after we graduate

I have experience in 3 of these, and have been majorly impacted by the military.

Students also need someone who will be honest and show them all sides of everything they will soon encounter. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

No journey you choose will be all sunshine and rainbows, but it would be wise to have a guide or mentor to help you along the path.
